£1.2 million in gifts and pledges will make it possible to build a brand new Sports Pavilion. This will be a truly shared facility for the Foundation, providing much-needed changing space, as well as a first floor lounge and viewing balcony with 360 degree views of the rugby, hockey, tennis and netball pitches.
To achieve this target we need 73 donors to make gifts between £1,000 and £250,000 on our scale of giving. All supporters will be acknowledged for the unique part they have played creating this prominent new facility.
When the plans for Project One Campus were unveiled three years ago, it was clear that an extraordinary opportunity existed to enhance and upgrade our Foundation sports pitches, as part of the overall development scheme. The One Campus Plus fundraising campaign highlighted the potential for meeting pupils’ increasing enthusiasm for competitive sports with a stunning new 3G pitch, a third, water-based Astro-turf and increased capacity for tennis and netball matches. It remains an ambitious vision, but one that promises to deliver an unparalleled suite of sports pitches and playing surfaces for the different communities we serve. What’s more, our potential for hosting international players, tournaments and other events would be vastly improved.
The jewel in the crown, however, would be a bespoke new Pavilion to complement the outstanding sports pitch provision we have on campus and replace the existing changing facilities for King’s High School. Centrally situated to catch 360-degree views of our pitches, courts and practice spaces, the Pavilion would enable us to make the enjoyment of sport, a truly immersive experience for players, parents and visitors. It will provide a perfect venue to help enable the most talented and driven girls and boys to reach their full potential within the sporting arena but will also ensure that everybody can find a sport they enjoy and take it forward to the level that suits them.
A stand-out opportunity
The One Campus Plus campaign sets out the potential to optimise and refine our indoor and outdoor educational offering, for the benefit of all who come to learn, work and play here. From top-shelf play equipment to leading-edge learning resources and thoughtfully furnished social spaces – it is the remarkable generosity of individuals, businesses and local grant-makers that will have the most enduring impact on the quality of finish we can specify.
The Pavilion, though, will only happen if we can secure the £1.2 million required to build and equip it. Within the overall vision for a single, exceptional campus, this particular project represents a stand-out opportunity; one that is totally dependent on the energy of philanthropic investment. Simply put, the Pavilion illustrated below will remain on the drawing board, unless we can raise significant major funding from those keen to lead the Foundation’s next generation of givers.
Rooms with views
The Pavilion has been designed to house four brand new changing rooms and offer fantastic views of the surrounding pitches and playing areas. Generously configured and based on a contemporary, welcoming aesthetic, it will enable us to;
Provide modern, upgraded changing facilities for pupils at both schools as well as visiting teams, and provide much-needed toilet facilities.
A facility that would be used by pupils, parents and visitors, offering protection from rain or shine from its viewing veranda, as well as serving match teas from the small kitchen.
Play host to national and international tournaments and events.
A central hub for the midlands
The new Pavilion will create a dynamic focus for sports on the Foundation Campus, helping to build a strong sense of community amongst players, families and visiting teams. The venue will quickly become a social and sporting hub not just for the Warwick community, but also external clubs, national governing bodies and regional satellite centres.
This will be a multi-purpose facility; to warm up with a coffee on a cold day supporting your son or daughter; be a place to wait for training to finish; somewhere to reflect on the game at after match teas; a place to hold prize giving celebrations.
In dedicating the top gift of £250,000 to the new Pavilion, we invite you to associate your own name with the building, to be referred to in wider school life and to become a enduring name for many years to come.
Your gift of £250,000 can be spread using Gift Aid over three annual contributions of £66,667 or thirty-six monthly payments of £5,556. Once you also reclaim your personal tax rebate the net monthly cost for a UK tax payer at 40% would be £4,167 or at 45% it would be £3,819.
Look out across the playing fields while perhaps one of your children is on the rugby field and the other is on the hockey pitch.
Your gift of £100,000 will be dedicated to one of these special areas within the Pavilion, giving a tangible opportunity to associate your support with sport at the Foundation. You will be invited to dedicate your gift in your name of choice and to have this acknowledged in the form of a specially designed, commemorative plaque.

We hope to have four state of the art changing rooms for our girls and boys. These changing rooms will provide a convenient place to get ready for PE in close proximity to the facilities that they will be using. Multiple changing facilities will mean a faster turnaround between lessons and more efficient use of teaching time.
The changing rooms will of course be used by all for matches across all sports and will provide a great place for team talks.
Your gift of £50,000 will be dedicated to one of these changing spaces within the Pavilion, to associate your support with sport at the Foundation. You will be invited to dedicate your gift in your name of choice and to have this acknowledged in the form of a specially designed, commemorative plaque.
Alternatively, you may wish to direct your gift to another available space outside the Pavilion. We plan to have a paved patio area on the ground floor, which will be an excellent place to have a BBQ during the summer term, a really social space to enjoy company as well as support the children representing the school or their local club.

Your gift of £10,000 will allow you to choose your most motivational quote to be displayed on one of the Pillars which pupils will see as they head out to the pitches to represent the school. These can be displayed along with your name if you would like.

A special form of recognition will be displayed on the ground floor of the pavilion to record the details of those who have enabled this facility to be built.
The possibilities for the new pavilion and sports facilities on campus are endless. But, realising our vision of a superbly designed facility that services all those stepping onto the pitches or cheering from the side-lines will depend on philanthropic investment at all levels.
Our aim is to establish a very special form of recognition through a creative or artistic feature within the new pavilion. Pupils, teachers and parents will be invited to be part of this team - and as a giver, you will have the option to have your name included in the commemorative feature.
